Pet Products Sourcing from India for Australian Importers
Australian pet retailers, importers and online brands can use the Australia–India ECTA to reduce duty on qualifying Indian goods.
Biosecurity is the main extra step for pet products made with wood, rattan, jute, coir, seagrass or natural fillings. This page covers it with dated official sources.

Who we work with in Australia
Retail ranges need barcodes and Australian Consumer Law-compliant labelling. Natural-material ranges need biosecurity planning from design stage.

Australia buyer questions
Do rattan or wooden pet beds need treatment for Australia?
They may. Check BICON for the product; some natural-material goods need treatment, permits or inspection on arrival.
Are pet products from India duty-free in Australia?
Many lines reached zero duty under ECTA on 1 Jan 2026, with a valid certificate of origin (checked 25 Oct 2026).
Do you test pet products for safety?
We run inspection checks agreed in the purchase order (seams, hardware, small parts, materials) and coordinate lab tests where the buyer or market requires them. We do not claim compliance without test reports.
